BS: Novichok. The plot thickens

Today an intriguing new detail of the case came to light. Spire FM, a local radio station in Salisbury, reports of a young woman, Abigail McCourt, who was given a 'Lifesaver Award' for her involvement in the Skripal case:

The 16 year old, from Larkhill, was the first to spot two people collapsed on a bench in the Maltings on March 4th and didn't hesitate to help. Abigail quickly alerted her mum, a qualified nurse, who was nearby and together they gave first aid to the victims until paramedics arrived.
Here is the thing. Alison McCourt is not just one random 'military nurse'. She is the Chief Nursing Officer for the British Army in the rank of Colonel:

Colonel A L McCourt OBE ARRC QHN - Assistant Head Health Strategy / Chief Nursing Officer (Army) - Senior Health Advisor (Army) Department.

Coincidence, happenstance, or what

The girl's mother actually nominated her daughter for the Lifesaver Award. I didn't think one could nominate a member of one's own family.

Alison McCourt was also involved in directing the teams dealing with the Ebola outbreak in W Africa.
The two of them seem to be around any major health threat/disaster don't they?
Commendable, but also rather..er...well, one wonders.

I suspect her army career has now stalled. I imagine government would have preferred this connection remained buried. How far can credulity be stretched?

It would have looked much stranger if it had been discovered that they were in the vicinity and didn't do anything to help.

It's not remarkable that the Chief Nursing Officer for the British Army with the rank of colonel has been involved in more than one health crisis.

Nor is it remarkable that someone from Larkhill, a nearby garrison town, was there. Wiltshire has several army bases: I wouldn't be surprised if Salisbury had hundreds of visiting army personnel that day.

Which might be why Skripal was given a house there.
