02 Mar 19 - 05:47 PM (#3979916) Subject: George Formby Society Blackpool Meeting From: Big Al Whittle I've just joined the society. It was my new years resolution to learn to play the uke. And I'm making a bit of progress. Nothing dazzling as yet - but I'm working on it. Has anyone else been to one of the Blackpool get-togethers? If so, would you recommend them? And where would you stop in Blackpool? |

03 Mar 19 - 02:44 PM (#3980089) Subject: RE: George Formby Society Blackpool Meeting From: Dave the Gnome There are literally hundreds of places to stay in Blackpool, Al. Range from cheap B&Bs to top notch hotels. Depends what you want as well. If you like lively, stop near the centre. If you like quiet, stay on the outskirts and use the excellent tram or bus service. I see the society meet at the Imperial Hotel. You could probably get a deal there. |
