I can not find mine and I start to travel next week. I swear I put it very carefully in a hanging pocket thing so I could know where it was..when I went to get it not there. I might have gotten it confused with a set of checkbooks..or i might have taken it out for some reason..but i swear it was there and now I can not find it. gone onto site but no response. i did get pass protection, which means you buy new tickets and get reimbursed to the amount you paid..glad i did that but that will really cut down my travel...any suggestions? I am tearing my small place apart but no luck.

Have you checked that you haven't put it in with your passport/travel documents?

I used a Eurailpass when it was a physical thing in a simpler time. I kept it with my passport, around my neck.

Do you have the receipt and the number? Have you activated it? Seems that you can do a lot of reservations online which means you need information and not the physical pass. Can it be sent to a smart phone?

Good luck.

not with other documents. have receipt and number. not sure about smart phone but mine is not overly smart...

my problem is i just retired as i was planning this trip and brought a lot of stuff home from work. it had sat in my desk for a long time. i am going through every box i have..and again and again in my hanging plastic pocket thing which is where i just knew it was..i swear I had seen it, looked at it,...i am thinking i took it out to look at it and moved it somewhere. i don't see that it has fallen into closet area...

Tell me about it. I'm at the stage when I put things down and can't remember where. They were under my nose, but my nose is now in a different place. It's worse if know I deliberately put them away in a logical place so I could find them easily - but can't actually remember where it was.

There is a trick that Stephen Fry told in QI:

When looking for something say it to yourself.

The problem, apart from having put it down to deal with something else, the visualisation you have is at odds with what can be seen. I well remember looking for a book, that when found was face down, and of course, the back was not the image I had been carrying. Other times I marvel at why I put it there!

This week I was delivering a poster to a shop and put the folder down then asked about leaflets then opened the door for an old lady and decided to leave via the open door. All very logical, but no folder! I had been distracted twice. Fatal.

Other times the same scenario had undoubtedly occurred and try as I might, the sequence of events eluded me, despite re-tracing. Totally lost.

It's a bugger innit?

I gave up and bought one cheaper but only for fifteen days instead of twenty two but i really only need it for about seventeen days. I had protection on it so i should be able to be reimbursed but boy is that an awful site. If i find i t will use in fall. I have torn my place apart and fear it got mixed into recycling somehow.

I am currently travelling on one (in Perugia right now) and have given up on trying to put my itinerary on their site - takes more than an hour of form filling before you realize it's never going to do what you want. Fortunately you can do almost everything without using their site.

It doesn't even seem to work for railway staff, when I did a supplementary reservation at Lecce yesterday the clerk only managed it by using the desktop machine and his own phone simultaneously while the process went so slowly at Interrail's end that a queue of 20 people built up behind me. He looked monumentally pissed off and I could well understand why.
