03 May 19 - 03:17 PM (#3990635) Subject: NEW CD -- those in peril on the sea From: mg This is a new cd coming out in a few weeks..hopefully in time for folklife. Hopefully with clear enough graphics -- just got a warning from cd baby that they weren't high enough resolution but told them to duplicate anyway. I think front cover will be fine and as long as I can read the songs on back cover I will be ok with it. I have to give so many away that I will fix on a later run and not worry about it. I used to like working with cd baby online designer but they have taken some good features out and not given adequate instructions on new features -- but it saves money and produced fine results in the past. But I am producing beautiful music..not graphic art. Probably should say what cd is about. It is about lifesaving events at sea. So lifeboats, lighthouses, coast guard..people on shore, other ships..whole communities rising to the occasion. If you like maritime music, I guarantee you will like this. So this new cd has 19 songs..a few are well known..lifeboat mona, davy lowston, reuben james, home from the sea. Quite a few are new to most people although could be well known locally. I will sell for $10 each (and $5 each if no cover). Plus shipping...dirt cheap in US for more than about 3 with media mail...it can get very expensive to ship other places but I will look for people going to Canada especially who can mail them for way cheaper. I have been encouraged to raise my prices..I try to keep them low enough that more can afford them..but this one was way over budget. So get them soon. I should have them by folklife and be selling them there. I basically break even and use any further funds to start the next project. mg |

Could you give us some more information such as song titles and performers. If you wish I could take some copies up to Princeton Trad. Music Fest in August - check with Jon about selling them there. And speaking about Princeton, I would be happy to give someone a ride there from Seattle. Cheers, S. in Seattle |

I always get scared of the nearby forest fires there so I might chicken out. I will get you a copy of titles and performers..you know a good number of them. oh. you want me to list all titles and performers...like here....i think i will list titles and not performers later...i am at library trying to get my lost railpass refunded... |
