30 May 19 - 09:26 AM (#3994460) Subject: Piva - early music (or is it folk?) From: Mo the caller 3 members of Piva were at Chester Folk Festival last weekend. An was involved with the singing, ran a good harmony workshop (and other things that I didn't get to). And Jane & Eric Moulder led workshops to play Playford tunes, and gave a presentation about making instrument (so now I know how a crumhorn gets bent). And for those who missed them then they will be in Cheshire again in June at Little Moreton Hall Newcastle Rd Congleton CW12 UK On 22nd & 23rd as part of the Midsummer event " 11:00-16:00 Experience the Tudor festival that gives thanks for the sunshine & water that nourishes the crops. Dancing, activities & live music from Piva." And an evening concert on 27th |
