There’s tons of stuff about him - played in his own band as well as Ray Ellington’s Quartet and other groups. Judd proctor was well known in the jazz world, as well as a very active session guitarist. His jazz work encompassed guitar and banjo in traditional and mainstream genres, as well asspecialising in "Gypsy" jazz. |

What about Bert Weedon? Personally I didn't like his style of playing, but he was very nimble fingered indeed at the time! |

It was this band that in the early forties was forbidden by the B.B.C to feature (in a RADIO broadcast!!) a romantic song duet between Geoff Love, who was black, and the bands white girl vocalist. |

Judd Proctor was born as Judd PROCTER (Proctor was adopted by him after a misspelling on a Parlophone single release). He was born 2nd Jan 1931, as the birth records confirm. NOT 1930, 1932 or 1933 as erroneously used all over the web. I cannot get to a single Judd Procter page at the website cited in the post. I did get to the page Ulitzer95 had in mind, with the identical URL. And there I found a list of Procters, ten in all, of whom Judd Procter is the fourth.
