Happy New Year and Millenium from Buenos Aires, where we have just reached 2000. Peace for all, jobs for all, your families and friends. And thank you for all the things we learn and share everyday at the Mudcat. Special thanks to Max.
Un abrazo - Andrés Magré

and.. I was a victim of the 2000 effect ! Every time I drink 1999 cc of a mix of beer and champagne, the counter returns to 0000 and allows me another two liters. Who said the 2000 was a problem ?

Happy New Year, Andres! T.

Happy New Year, Andrés! It has been a great pleasure to get to know you and count you among my newfound friends at the Mudcat. May the new year bring you and your family all that you desire.

Don't forget, Mudders, Andrés' son, Mariano is alone in Caracas tonight at, mariano58@hotmail.com.

I dont know about stories but it reminds me of one of the Irish jokes:

Paddy meets his fairy godmother who gives him three wishes:

FGM: What would you really like?

PADDY: I'd love a ever lasting pint of Guinnes so when I reach the bottom, it fills itself up again.

FGM: You wish is my command.

Paddy gets his pint and to amazement, everytime he drinks the last drop, it refills and a perfect pint everytime.

FGM then says "that is you're first wish, you have 2 more to go what else would you like" and Paddy say's "I'll have a couple more of the same".

Thanks to all! Wildlone, I really don't need a new butt(Ano Nuevo) and even less a happy one (Feliz) but I know you don't use the letter ñ (Año Nuevo) so your Spanish effort is greatly appreciated !! LLLLOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL

I've learned something new: to use a tilde over the "n" in Spanish, all you have to do, in Windows, is write [& ntilde] without the brackets and without the space between the ampersand and the word.

There is a handy chart for Mac, Windows, & html, for other accent marks at http://desktoppub.about.com/compute/desktoppub/library/weekly/naccents.htm or, if you prefer, here.

All the best,

kat

Happy New Year Andres, and here's to more Mudcattery. By the way, thanks for the help on the Venezualan song -- it worked fine, and I had to tell the lady the whole story of how I got it. un abrazo, Peter T.

Good morning Andrés! Well, I'm certainly glad that I backspaced over the 'Prospero Ano' that I was going to wish you!!! That could have been quite embarrassing!!
