11 Nov 19 - 10:15 PM (#4018551) Subject: FRC: Maggie Hammons Parker From: Janie A lot of you more knowledgeable people have probably long known about The Field Recorder's Collective. I just discovered them a year or so ago. I did a search but could not identify a thread that it seemed correct to add this to. If a Mod is aware, feel free to move it. Came across this today. A collection of recordings of Maggie Hammons Parker. https://fieldrecorder.bandcamp.com/album/frc-713-maggie-parker-hammons-family-music-songs-wayne-howard-collection |

There are some different songs here, including versions of 'Young Hunting' and 'Hind Horn', which Maggie called 'In Scotland Town'. I can also heartily endorse the FRC CDs. Wonderful material to be found here. |
