Is that Perth, Western Australia, or Perth, Scotland (or some other Perth)? Friday night 8pm is not a global constant.

I've been listening to a few, done two myself and participating in Zoom style local clubs I normally go to. Not to mention putting many new songs on my Youtube channel for the first time in err.. five years.....

What is interesting is a conversation I have had many times in recent years at festivals, singarounds and concerts where people reckon folk as in the living tradition is dying out with the last of the folk club generations. Rubbish! I say. it's just that younger people prefer Youtube etc to sitting in pubs. Interpreting traditional ballads is still exceedingly popular, it's just the delivery that is evolving.

"That'll never catch on," they say, rather sagely and wisely to silly me.....
