Tomorrow the guys at We Shall Overcome have put together a tremendous line up for their ISolation Festival including Billy Bragg, Grace Petrie, Robb Johnson and many, many more. Music all day and evening from 11.45 am. Join the Facebook group to attend. The festival is raising fund for the incredible work done by Pauline Town in Greater Manchester where she provides food and helps to find accommodation for homeless people

Plenty of great music to get stuck into there whilst we can't go out!

Just reporting back on the We Shall Overcome Isolation Festival yesterday -a tremendously well organised day with amazingly few technical glitches - running from 1145 until after midnight with a multitude of artists performing short sets from across the country.

The best news of all was that over £25,000 was raised to help Pauline Town continue her work feeding and helping to house homeless people

Anyone who would like to catch up with the day's music can join the Facebook Group I linked to above. Anyone who would like to make a donation the Just Giving Page is here https://www.gofundme.com/f/we-shall-overcome-2020

Looking forward to Plumhall tonight and the Folk on Foot Front Room Festival tomorrow

Got a few Steve Knightley YouTubes to watch too :-)

yesterday was the online Folk on Foot festival with many of the UKs top folk artists playing for nearly 8 hours (2pm - 10) last on was steve knightly and other highlights included karine polwart, chris drever, peggy seeger, jon boden, julie fowlis bella hardy etc. they each did half an hour from their front rooms (also interesting to hhave a wee nosey around the houses) it dragged in a couple of places but was mostly of good quality and interesting and all at a relaxing, slow pace (like at a festival when you always find yourself walking at half usual speed as you potter about trying not to spill the beer)

anyway - i'd thoroughly recommend it - the good cause is to raise money for folk musicians whose income has suddenly dried up.

watch it again on you tube. (after about an hour)and look out for karine polwart - clearly struggling with the current situation but still playing great music that was the highlight for me

I have been enjoying the weekly song from Kate Rusby and Declan O'Rouke, on her YouTube channel.

Also similar kitchen sessions from Mary Chapin Carpenter here.

If you have Facebook, here's a link to Eric and Suzy Thompson, who ought to be internationally known. And on top of that, they're such nice people.

Such a delight to watch and listen to Julie Fowlis (whether singing or speaking!) on Festival on Foot's front room online festival.
I never tire of her!!!
