Nice one Mbo, I particularly liked the marches. Are the other ones going to be available in Midi? I have played the ABC ones as well but Andreas Waltz crashes the ABC player I was using. I'll try it on something else later.

Jon, use Henrik Norbeck's "ABCMUS." It is available at www.ceolas.org under "Tunes." Before playing the tune, under 'options' and 'midi & playback options' set the melody to "harmonica" and the backing to "accordian" to get the original feel of the tune. Also, the tempo is too slow--it should be 120 instead of 80. Thanks for enjoying the tunes!

I can't open any of them with my default MIDI player, WinAmp. Are they ABC-only ?

Yes, they're all ABCs. I sent Alan the MIDIs for some of the tunes--I don't know when they'll be up.

Mario, I guess I could, but that involves TYPING them!:{> Do you think I should send them to Aine at the Songbook? Her C drive went down so the Songbook won't get updated for a bit. Should I post them to a separate thread, to subsequently add to when I add a new song to the Midi Page?

Mbo - as far as I'm concerned.....whatever is easiest for you. They were existing literature you wrote the tunes for, yes? Any of them out on the web where you could just provide a "clickie?"

the MIDIs are already there... the ABCs are there too... and until someone changes them into MIDI (not me... and I'm not sure that Alan does it either) the ABC ones will be staying as ABCs..... The ones I listed at the top of this thread are all playable MIDIs.....

Hmmm...I'll have to talk to Alan. I sent him, I think, 4 midis that go with the ABCs...I'll have to check it out.
