The grown ups had Monty Python, us kids had The Goodies..

Though we all happily enjoyed both...

..another vote for putting this thread up in music and traditions where it really belong...

In the late sixties, the bar at the pub which I used to frequent in Kent (now closed, and the residence of Len Goodman) would empty at ISIRTA time - everyone went out to their cars to listen. Wonderful cast, very British humour, and none better than Tim Brown-Windsor. We'll miss him.

Iconic show, very funny, very clever. That TV show was part of my youth.

Condolences to his family, his colleagues, his friends and all of his fans.

ABC News article (in Oz)

I've seen a couple of news items on ABC-TV (Oz) and the presenters have said that Australian fans of The Goodies were even more enthusiastic than UK fans. One presenter said that in the UK the TV programmers were unsure whether the show should have been on late night TV and not in the afternoons. In Oz, it was on at prime time at 6 pm when the kiddies were most likely to watch it.
