06 Aug 20 - 06:38 AM (#4067467) Subject: RE: Origins: Henry My Son, R, Gould From: Matthew Edwards It is a child's version of the Child ballad, but very like the Dublin street song Frank Harte collected. The Lyrics.com website entry for Pete Seeger's recording credits the lyrics to Traditional/Jim Gould © The Bicycle Company, but I can't find anything else attributed to Jim Gould anywhere. |

I listened to both and didn't notice any significant differences. Discogs credits the Gould as "Ron Gould." (link). You can read a bit more about Ron Gould here You can find a bit more here and there by searching "Pete Seeger" "Ron Gould" (with the quotes). |
