Lyr/Chords Req: Change in My Life (Billy Straus)

I heard an accapella group sing a song entitled "Change in My (or Your)Life," which I enjoyed very much, but no one in the group knew who wrote it or much about it.

I have found out that it may have been in the soundtrack to the movie "Leap of Faith," but I cannot find the lyrics.

Can anyone help me with the words and the chords?

Thank you.

Here's a possible hit, but I think you'll have to be more specific with your request. Wolfgang

Thanks to Wolfgang for the words. I am continuing my search for the music. It's a great song.

IMDb says CHANGE IN MY LIFE, performed by John Pagano, was in the soundtrack of the film "Leap of Faith." Allmusic.com says it was written by Billy Straus, and has also been recorded by Sam Harris, M-Pact, The Persuasions, Rockapella, and perhaps some others.

Here's an excerpt, transcribed from a sound sample:

I been lonely, I been cheated, I been misunderstood.
I been washed up, I been put down, and told I'm no good;
But with you I belong
'Cause you help me be strong.
There's a change in my life since you came along.

The song was composed by Billy Straus of Putney, VT. He was the original producer for Rockapella and they should be considered as recording the "original" version of the song. Here's a confirming clip from a page by Sean Altman, a ROckapella member who was selling off some instruments:

Yamaha SY55 Synth Keyboard: $200
Long time Rockapella and Sean producer Billy Straus gave this to me. Billy produced Rockapella's first demos in the late '80s, and co-produced Rockapella's first seven Japan CDs for For Life Records. This was his studio keyboard, on which he composed the Rockapella classic Change In My Life, several co-writes with me (Falling Over You, I Found Suger, Change My World), songs he wrote with Elliott Kerman (Rock River, Holiday Groove), and the 3 Brave Woodsmen songs that Billy, David Yazbek and I performed on the two Carmen Sandiego albums. One key has a faulty spring; it works, but it sits lower than the others (can be repaired).

Lyrics found online and checked against the video at YouTube:

A CHANGE IN MY LIFE
Billy Straus
As sung by Rockapella

1. Standing cold and scared on top of Blue Hill,
There came one moment when I lost my will.
I prayed for mercy: "Please, Lord, take me away.
Give me sunshine where I only see gray."
My past had a hold on me, it can't be denied,
And the changes didn't come easily.

CHORUS: I've been lonely, I've been cheated, I've been misunderstood,
I've been washed up, I've been put down, and told I'm no good,
But with you I belong,
'Cause you help me be strong.
There's a change in my life since you came along.

2. Now I don't mind working so hard every day,
And I don't pay no mind to what people say,
'Cause after all the pain I've been through,
Lord knows, I'd give up everything just to love only you.
All my life I'd held my head bent in shame,
But now I've found you, and with you I'll remain. CHORUS

BRIDGE: A man gets crazy when his life is all wrong,
And a heart gets weary when it doesn't belong.
When the road gets rocky, Lord, you've got to keep on.
Let the new light come shining on through. CHORUS TWICE
