Hello Paddy,

Here are few I used on my page a while ago. I think several are also on the Mudcat link page.

Everything Irish-many, many Irish links.

Ireland and Irish things--many more Irish links..

Taylor's Traditional Tunebook-- Barry Taylor's songs in MIDI format

Folk Music of England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and America--Lesley Nelson's site.

The Irish in America: Long Journey Home--beautiful web site to complement the PBS historic epic by the same name, aired in January, 1998.

Robert Blakeley, Traditional Irish Music-- I like the explanations reel, jig, hornpipe, polka, slide, slip jig, air, waltz, set dance, planxty, mazurka...

ShopPBS--Danny Boy home video.

Mary

Hi Paddy,

I like the content and layout of your page.
But: the text coloring is not the best. Blue on black (links) and dark green on black (last changed) is hard to read.
You should either use different colors or at least use a bold typeface.
To get the change for all links put the red stuff in your head section (just after the line with the <title> tag):

<style type="text/css">
<!--
/* ... Style-Sheet-Angaben ... */
:link { color:red; }
:visited { color:yellow; }
:active { color:#ffffcc; }
a { font-weight: bold; }
//-->
</style>

(of course you can select whatever colors you like, just change the values behind the "color:"!)

Hi Paddy!

Looks very fine. Congratulations!

Regarding links: when you have a moment, you might want to take a look at our main page

http://sites.netscape.net/folkmusic/milnerconroy

and links page

http://sites.netscape.net/folkmusic/links

You are welcome to link to either.

All the best,
Dan

Hi,
just a small html tip for the two tables for the link collection:
if you put identical colgroup tags into both the header table and the link table,
the columns should be of the same width.
Use either
  	<colgroup width=50% span=2>  	</colgroup>

or

<colgroup> <col width=30%> <col width=70%> </colgroup>

or

<colgroup> <col width=300> <col width=*> </colgroup>

In the second example you can of course use different values (but to have the table stretch across the whole width they should add up to 100%).
In the third example you only say how wide the first column is (here, you may adjust from 300 to whatever you pleas). The second column takes the rest of the table width.

It is important to use the same

p.s. Are you sure you want to undertake the task of making a comprehensive list of Irish music links? You'd mostly be duplicating work already done by others, notably Ceolas. Then you'd have the burden of keeping it up to date. I suggest you specialize.
