There are some easy add-ons that can dress this up a bit.
Try playing [G] [C] [G]
Also, if you play the D instead of the D7, you can play: You'll sound just like Liam Clancy. Now, how to keep from crying? ....Tiger |

It uses more chords and more chord changes than other renditions I've heard, and will probably irritate some people (sorry!). Nevertheless, it sounds good to me, and for those who, like me, don't do any picking to speak of, it helps flesh out the instrumental portion.

13 Jan 00 - 07:53 PM (#162435) Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: And the Band Played Waltzing From: Gary T Well, shoot, I still didn't get the chords to appear over the correct words. Each chord listed goes with an obviously accented syllable. In the first line that's I(C), young(Am), car-(ried)(G), pack(Am), etc. In the summary, a hyphen(-) indicates to repeat the previous chord. Hope this helps. |
