Whenever I post to a thread my machine returns me to the Forum Home and I have to go through the whole checkout thing again to check for any other posts that might have been done while I was writing. Is there a way around this? david |

From: Jon Freeman David, Max is the man to ask but I must admit that if I had a choice, I woould prefer to be taken back to the updated thread than back to the main threads page. In addition to your point, I also like to see what I have written after it has posted (in case of errors that I have not spotted - particularly when using HTML) and also, although I can't see a way for Max getting round this one, I find it useful returning to a thread I have just posted to as the link then shows up as having been visited so I know I don't need to go back until it turns back to blue after a refresh. 12 Jan 00 - 02:37 AM (#161557) Subject: RE: Does anybody else find this annoying? From: roopoo I've just been sent to the main threads page. To be honest it had never occurred to me that this happened, but having posted to another thread after reading this one, I made note. I can't decide if I find it annoying or not because I am not a "prolific poster". I think I would want to return to the updated thread if I was indulging in a fairly rapid exchange of ideas. But as Jon previously stated you can tell by the number of postings if anyone else is active on that particular thread. mouldy |

12 Jan 00 - 10:21 AM (#161647) Subject: RE: Does anybody else find this annoying? From: Jeri I use the "new messages since last visit" option. When I post a message, I use the "back" button on my browser to return to it. (I've heard other people have problems with "back" buttons, but this works for me.) I can then hit "refresh" to see that my post shows up. |
