IIRC, there was a bar & grill across the street from City Hall that had posters up for bands. City Hall is tucked into a hillside, and there's only one side of it with a proper street, so the bar should not be hard to find. We had lunch there twice, and the staff was friendly. |

Another idea is the Tourist Information Office. These ideas might apply to Newfoundland. In Ullapool, Scotland, we saw a poster in the front window of the Youth Hostel that gave us info about a festival in a nearby town. That was fun. |
