I don't know how all those question marks got there on my above post. Wasn't intential and I don't even remember hitting the question mark. This Tablet that I use to go on the internet seems to have a mind of it's own.
Can someone please tell me how to edit your text after you have already sent it so I can delete the question marks.
Thank you. Hope this message goes through without any unwanted letters or marks.

Short answer, you can’t!
Once you’ve hit that “submit message” button it’s there in perpetuity.
(Unless you’ve written something awful, when the “mudelves” might decide to delete it.)
We’ve all done it.
Anyway, Happy Birthday to Tom, one of my all-time favourite folk singers and songwriters.

Many Happy Returns Tom Paxton! Have loved - and sung some of! - your songs for many years. First time I saw you performing live was at Glasgow Apollo - last time was in Greenock Arts Centre (and I bought my first ever cd - you had to open it for me so I could get your autograph!!)
Hope you have many more years of creativity! xxxxx

There's a birthday wishes thread on his Facebook page too!
My first TP album was a vinyl LP, brought back from Chicago in the late 1960s by my very kind flatmate, who knew I liked folk music. I hadn't even heard of Tom then, but soon went and bought more albums, learned the songs, etc.

Happy Day, Tom! I have shared or covered more of your songs than of any other artist. Most recently, I shared "Bunny Wunny" which is much fun as well as historic for some of the youngers who weren't there. (And for some of us, another lead in to the Monty Python scene in "Holy Grail.)

Also, the John Bobbit song, which gives me an opportunity to update the original story in which we have discovered, sadly, that he was very abusive, and that didn't come out until much later. But we did not know that then, and the song is hilarious in typically Tom Paxton fashion.

And, of course, "Marvelous Toy," with the backstory of you in the typing pool at Fort Dix, "Peace Will Come," and of course, of course "The Last Thing On My Mind."

Thank you, thank you! And very happy day to you!

Saul
