The song premise is about a guy who meets a pretty, but married woman in a bar. She offers to take him home and says her husband "Gene?" is away and they won't get caught. He takes her up on the offer, goes home with her, but just when things are about to get hot, the man's back is turned away for an instant, and Big Gene comes up from behind and kills him with a shovel. Apparently the murder is committed with the wife as an accessory. The last verse sings about her at the bar again, just waiting for their next victim. |
