Cheers me dears, dave from Dorset. |

Dorset is not the same since they closed Portland,HMS Osprey, mate. Yours, Aye. Dave |

They have one copy listed at the moment for 21 pounds - I thought of buying it myself but I'll let the rest of you scramble for it. In fact, search for any book there - it is quite remarkable that you seem to be able to get any second-hand there. It is a network of 5500 second hand book dealers that seems to be world wide, or maybe just western hemisphere, I am not sure. If I was richer, it would be my favorite site. |

So I have to inhabit libraries now, unfortunately. Try to salvage any book of sea songs you can; we singing matelots are becoming an endangered species mate. I don't miss hoofing it around the Portland Bill in me combat togs, but do miss the songs and stories....Nostalgia has set in Dahn below, the bullshits getting thin Dahn below, me mates are all asleep, or resting in the deep, or buried in a heap, Dahn below........Yours, Aye.
