It says one of their favourite songs is Hamish Imlach's "Cod-liver Oil and the Orange Juice", which it says is about a man from Brighton. The character actually comes from Bridgeton, pronounced in the song (and generally in Glasgow) Brigton, an area in Glasgow's east end. |

I remeber him telling of his sadness the news of Hamish's death when I was supporting him at a concert in deBarra's in Clonakilty in the 90s. I thought at first he was referring to Hamish Henderson, but no.... |
