Lyr Req: Uncle Fud

In Jimmie Driftwood's Tennessee Stud, Doc Watson sings "Uncle Bud", but other sources cite Uncle Fud, Uncle Spud, Uncle Thud, and believe it or not, Uncle Fred. Jimmie Driftwood's site is no help. Is there a definitive Uncle?

Here's a thread on the song Tennessee Stud -- link

I'd imagine the "correct" one is whichever one Driftwood sang. This seems to be a song he wrote, rather than collected, as far as I know.

Thanks, cnd. Lots of "Fudds" there.

Purely coincidentally, I was listening to a live Doc Watson/Bill Monroe concert recently, and Doc mentioned the song was created from a combination of stories from Driftwood's grandfather. I couldn't easily identify a grandfather online, but Driftwood's parents were Allie "Ollie" Alena Morris (born Risner) and Neal Hamilton Morris -- perhaps one of them have a Fud/Bud/etc relative. (FWIW, sounds like he says Fud in this recording).
