BS: the arc of the moral universe ..........

Bends towards justice. Jon Stewart quoting from history.

But he added

"But it doesn't bend towards justice by gravity, you have to bend it. And there's a bunch of people trying to bend it back"

Just thought I would share that today. It rather chimed.

Socially that is absolutely true. But it is complicated. Abortion is an example that can save lives and take lives but when its abolition is punitively applied no one wins.

The natural or cosmic reality at first look is unbelievably violent.
There is an invisible force that is opposite and far more powerful than gravity yet it may help galaxies last longer.

A moral and compassionate universe did create life that looks upon the universe/itself so despite the immense destructive forces, it may also bend toward a cosmic justice. Such is the mind of a cosmic god.

I suspect that eventually, no one wins.

Anthropormorphically yours,
Donuel

Symmetry, can't live with it - can't live without it.

However most amino acids can exist in both left and right handed forms, Life on Earth is made of left handed amino acids, almost exclusively. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/space/must-all-molecules-life-be-left-handed-or-right-handed-180959956/

The exceptions to symmetry are mysterious.

The opposing vector to the moral arc of people is the preference of folks to be spoon fed by sound bytes, bots and lunatics.
The fast food of the internet is to do one Google search.
Many of the people here are better than that but it seems they are outnumbered by yahoos.

Getting the big things right ahead of time is totally missed by the mentally myopic.

The moral arc may seem to not bend fast enough but if you could walk the curve of a rainbow it would hardly seem to bend.

Pray tell, do you know the difference between ethics and morals?
