Hello Gents
Wondering if you may be able to help. We are producing a feature documentary on the early years of the Newport Folk Festival ( 1959-66) We are searching for any 8mm home movies that someone attending may have shot. Might you know of any out there or have a way to post our request?

thanks much

Good luck finding anything!

One place you may turn (and I'm sure you've probably thought of this already, but in the off chance you haven't) is archive.org

https://archive.org/details/festival-1967

https://archive.org/details/RainbowQuest26 (brief clip about 40 min in)

Possibly more to be found, but there's a start

Thanks much - - the first clip is from FESTIVAL which we have and of course the second IS Festival!   thanks so much for your suggestions - we are actually looking for 8mm home movies that audience members may have shot - we have over 80+ hours of outtakes from Festival which we are building our film with thanks again

Joe have you tried asking Stringsinger? I know he appeared on one which
was issued on an album 1969 possibly. He might have a contact for you.
