He mainly uses C, G and F. The song was in fact written by Roy Williamson of The Corries, and is a totally different song from the Irish song of the same name (aka Raglan Road.) |

I should perhaps have made it clearer that “Raglan Road” borrowed the tune. The story goes that Patrick Kavanagh asked Luke Kelly to sing it for him, and his version is perhaps the best known. But, the song the OP asked for is entirely different in both tune and lyrics, as I said. |
