In our Folklife group, for the summer festival, we do a lovely little thing called a Band Scramble. All interested parties put their name in a hat, names are drawn, and people are placed in new groups. The new groups have one hour to find a name, and some material enough to fill a 15 minute set in front of the other groups. My submission is this: What is your Band Scramble? Which musicians would you like to hear together? What would they be called? And what would you like to hear them do? |

It would be Dougie MacLean, Arty McGlynn, Dan Ar Braz, Soig Siberil, Chris Newman and David Allison. They could do: The Morning Dew The Quarrelsome Piper Captain Pugwash Hasberry Howard The Holms O' Ire Dargai Colonel Fraser And "Our Time Will Arise."
