I attended a session at a Shabeen house in Tipperary called Jim O' The Mills and this guy was a riot. He sang several other songs that I had never heard of as well. This has the lyrics

Leland, You’re Some Tractor

"Oh Leyland, you're some tractor I think I'll go and buy a new John Deere'
We started every day, jeez we turned a power of hay,
and your cheap to run when diesel oil was dear
I drove you round the yard, its true I drove you fairly hard
But you took revenge by needing four new clutches every year!

So this is where we are, I've better tires on the car
and I have to charge your battery every night
Your radio is broke, you've four different kinds of smoke
I think its time to trade you in you big blue heap of shite.

Oh Leyland You're some tractor, your synchro box helps me go down in gear
Your steering it is brutal and it gets worse as you go up in gear
While trying to cut silage near Carlow, Your gearbox blew and I sat there in tears.
Oh Leyland, you're some tractor, I think Ill go and buy a new John deere.

Looking for anything on this song. I'd love to learn it.

Can't say I've ever driven a tractor that had a radio to get broken.

Here's a partial YouTube recording of the song:
