John Conneely dances a reel in his unique style. Gay Byrne introduces John Conneely from Knock, Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo

What a hero!

As an aside, was that Planxty on the platform to the left, waiting to play?

California public school 1950's:

Heel and a toe 2x - alternate legs.
Slide-slide-slide
Tap right, tap left, tap both
Slap knees
Repeat - faster - faster

One "lad" learned a brilliant soft shoe to "Nola".

In this school ... the teachers had "critical curriculum" but were allowed to teach to each student's and teacher's strength. (music, dance, drama, art, composition, nature, etc)

Thanks for posting, Sandman. John Conneely dances well - erect carriage, flying feet, and he uses the dance floor. At the end, he doesn't even seem to be breathing hard. Well done!
