From: Bert A plain western cut shirt or an off white "folk" sweater, black slacks (or jeans it they're fairly new), black shoes or newish black sneakers. BTW, does anyone think that we should have a Mudcat "performing" shirt? Bert. |
24 Jan 00 - 02:35 PM (#167622) Subject: RE: What do you wear when you perform? From: Bill in Alabama MTed I generally wear dress pants or freshly-washed and creased jeans (unfaded), plaid shirt and solid tie or solid shirt and plaid tie, polished leather boots (I don't allow sneakers on stage with me) and a fedora hat. I do this primarily because I feel that it shows the respect I feel for the tradition in which I'm performing, and also because folks usually dress fairly nicely to attend our concerts. The folks from whom I learned much of my music thought enough of the music to dress acceptably when performing it onstage, and I feel obligated to do the same. I realize that this attitude brands me as an anachronistic old curmudgeon; I can live with that, too. |

25 Jan 00 - 08:11 AM (#167989) Subject: RE: What do you wear when you perform? From: catspaw49 Ya see annap. I only find two problems with your post. The first is that, although you and I both consider it a funny line, I'd already used it a few hours before......which brings up the second problem. Two threads with the same title were accidentally started and Ol' Joe transferred the stuff on this one to the other one, then the Big RiB asked that no one post to this thread. Naturally, people continued to post to this thread...this is Mudcat. Ah, but the bottom line is, I love you anyway and I'd be happy to "sing" with you nekkid anytime. After looking into a full length mirror while naked, I realize that you might have some reservations about ME however. Spaw This thread is closed. |
