Before the 'Baggies' he'd got other groups together, King's Shilling for one. Apart from the shanties, Dave had an extensive knowledge of folk music in general and was welcomed at all the clubs in the S Wales area with open arms. The last few months of his life ne spent in a care home. There's a lot more I could tell, but I'll just leave it there. I was proud and honoured to have known him. RIP my old friend |
