15 Feb 25 - 07:57 AM (#4217247) Subject: Lyr Req: Mr Major / Dave Totterdale From: GUEST,Jeff Doty Back in '79 I was touring England and Europe and happened to be playing the same folk club where Dave Totterdale was playing. I played a song called "Mr Major"...a partial of the chorus ran something like Paint your picture Mr Major Show us what your [bright?] eyes see After 46 years I could have some of that wrong. I remember the melody line, believe it or not. Anyway, I so so wish someone could provide the lyrics and a post of the song. I've searched for years since my visit and all I get are "nope - never heard it" or "yeah - I think so maybe." Thanks for reading. |

No lyrics found (yet), but he did post about the song here on Mudcat before: link. Interestingly, Cottage Records has a website (link) on which they announced they have started reissuing their back catalogue on CD. Not sure how recently the endeavor started, but they've only done 4 releases so far. They also have a contact page which you could inquire at. |
