I hope this is permitted. Back some years ago I was talking about the possibility of writing a book. Well I completed it back in January of 2023. If you are interested in a look it can be found on Amazon. The title is Times to Remember.

You and gnu were friends going way back. Did he have a chance to read any drafts of this?

He sure did. In fact he purchased 5 books and spread them out to his friends. That was gnu.

Good! He didn't send me one, though. So now I have to buy one myself. However, I did talk him into swapping Stan Rogers stamps for Pete Seeger stamps.

Hi Rap. Do you happen to have the G. Lightfoot, J. Mitchel, P. Anka and Anne Murry collection? And if you do buy my book please leave a comment as I'm trying to catch the only other person with the same title as mine.
Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. LOL

Questions about psychiatric medications is covered in a recent book 'UNSHRUNK' by a former 14 year patient.

I was informed a few days ago that one of Mudcat's longest standing member purchased 5 of my books in a passing tribute to the late Gary Owens better known here as "Gnu". Thank you, thank you.

There is an interview/book-promotion online;
let me see if I can make a link to it.

Don't know who you are Keberoxu, but that was very nice of you. I had completely forgotten about this interview. For a small community town, friends came out and by noon hour I had paid for all my expenses through my book sale. I was humbled by the turnout.

Well, thank you K... for that interview. That local newspaper is scarce in my area - published an hour away! But I do have a copy of the book and we very much enjoyed it as we have had the fun of being friends since 2009. A good guy who has had an interesting life! and, hence, provided an interesting read! I believe we have thanked him for it!

Thank you Dorothy, your words are very much appreciated. I do believe you did thank me for the book. Dorothy has been over the years a true supporter of the different folk festivals I use to organize. As well as the Friday evening events at Cafe Namashe. They were all great years and I do miss them.
