I also remember someone telling me that we weren't allowed to play or sing Carrickfergus because that song was Declan's song, which confused me because I thought it was an old Irish song but they respected Declan's work. |

I remember when the news of his death arrived (and the speculation what eould happen to his lovely old set of Harrington pipes). I was hoping to hear some of his piping among the recordings but only found him playing fecking old Boolavogue, which I'd not a yune I fancy much. |
