From: Folkimages Just posted by Martin Gittins on FB: "As many of you already know, the idea of a Memorial Concert to raise money for Christie's and MacMillan Nurses was discussed at Geoff Higginbotton's wake. There was resounding support for the idea and i have now provisionally booked the main hall at the Ukrainian Cultural Centre, Smedley Lane, Cheetham, for the evening of Saturday 15th November 2025. Now, it's over to you. We want to celebrate the great contribution Geoff made to folk music and to do this we need acts willing to perform for free! (although it may be possible to provide travel expenses to anyone coming from a distance) So, if you'd like to throw your hat in the ring, please say so here and also, email me using conduitzzz@outlook.com so I can start compiling an emailing list for communication. Also, as soon as you know that you will be attending, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know how any of you there will be, so I can start to get an idea of how well supported this is going to be.
