Norman Doucette: Music, a Heartbeat from the Soul

Time to give my brother Norman Doucette a little musical plug. Norman's music tackles many subjects that most musicians shy away from. Such as the atrocities of war, drug overdose, poverty and so on. he has 2 c/d's to his credit, "Some Mother's Son" and "Dangerous Ground". He is currently in studio getting together to release his third c/d. All his material is original. Norman's stage name is Stormin Norman and his music is available on YouTube, ReverbNation and Spotify. Stories in song with feelings in every note.
Here is a sample of his music.

Is there more than one Stormin' Norman out there?
I recall someone from maybe forty years ago who was part of a duo called
Stormin' Norman and Suzy.

Well, there is Norman Schwarzkopf
United States Army general. But that's not him. As far as Norman and Suzy, no.

Mike Regenstreif, a long time member here on Mudcat did a wonderful article on Norman years ago.

That's some powerful stuff, Beer. Compliments to your brother.

Thanks. He is a dark heavy writer. "Angle With a Broken Heal" is derived from a very young lady he was trying to help who O.D. in the end. I like "Cougar on the Loose"., much lighter. Would love to hear Shania Twain sing it.

Mum sings a few lines of a Mi'kmaq song she learned as a young child. She left us in 2007 at the age of 91. The Mi'kmag are a First Nations group from the Maritime Provinces of Canada and parts of Maine. The following song "Tamarack Jack" is the first song Norman wrote. The song is more of the north country then of the Maritimes.
