17 Sep 25 - 12:35 AM (#4228666) Subject: Obit: Robert Redford - Sundance has passed From: robomatic Robert Redford has shuffled off his mortal coil. He was 89. I did not think of him among my most beloved actors, but from his youth on television when he showed up on Perry Mason, and his breakthrough roles in Butch and Sundance he was a positive and charsmatic force for variety and quality in acting. I was mesmerized by one of his last roles, if not actually his last role, in "All Is Lost." In the meantime he was a great director, an active environmentalist, one of those people who was comfortable behind the scenes pushing things along, and of course able to handle the scenes from in front as well. |
