One is by Kate Long of Washington State. it is about a child who was deformed in some way and could only be happy on Halloween where she could disguise herself. The other is by Violet Jacobs and I forget the name of the song..it is about ghosts coming back from WWI to join them. I think the man's name was Lackland. |

She is mourning the loss of her son, Lachlan, in WW1. It was sung yesterday at a Hallowe’en party I was at. Many fine recordings of it, including Jim Reid’s own, Sheena Wellington, Lucy Pringle and a group called Tryst. |
