Urgently need music for a few songs

I promised to work up a few songs with my violinist-daughter to play on 4 February at a benefit for abused women and children. I know some good material but she needs the sheet music to accompany me. I don't read music and have none. I want to teach her, at least, "When Irish Eyes are Smiling," "We danced to an Old Fashioned Tune," "Wild Mountain Thyme," "Homestead on the Farm," and "Lassie wi' the Yellow Coatie." Any suggestions how I can get some sheet music fast for this good cause?

Try this site, they've got gifs of sheet music for trad fiddle tunes. More stuff in there than you'll learn in a lifetime! I'm currently working on the Keel Row and Roaring Jelly (aka Smash the Windows). Roaring Jelly is a must, simply for the name! :-)

(Sorry, I don't know how to do blue clicky things)

Anyway, get some tunes off there, and you'll be well away with a fiddle and guitar, or 2 fiddles, or whatever.

Thanks, everybody; and excuse me for my ignorance of the resources right on Mudcat. The "Yet Another DT", pointed out to me by Bill D. WITH a clicky thing that I don't know how to duplicate here, is outstanding.

Grab, if you like "Roaring Jelly" for the name you should look out for (old!!) recording by the UK trio of that name; very amusing they were!

Allen-- It's a good idea to post your lyrics requests seperately in a new request thread; sometimes we don't notice them when they're added to earlier requests.

"When Irish Eyes are Smiling"

When Irish eyes are smiling, Sure it's like a morning spring. In the lilt of Irish laughter, You can hear the angels sing. When Irish hearts are happy, All the world seems bright and gay. And when Irish eyes are smiling, Sure they steal your heart away.

Words by Chauncey Olcott and Geore Graff,Jr. Music by Ernest R. Ball
