28 Jan 00 - 11:27 AM (#169740) Subject: HearMe Sing: Songs of the Range Jan 31st From: GutBucketeer Hi Everyone: Several of us bandied about different topics for Hearme sings and thought this one would be a good idea. SONGS and TALES OF THE RANGE: Cowboys, Bushwackers, Gauchos and more (I added the Tales). So saddle up your ponies, grab your lasso, and hit the trail pardners. We'll be meeting in virtual space at 9:00 pm EST on Monday January 31st on the Mudcat Hearme link for some rattlesnake stew, Caitrin's cookies, great songs and tall tales. See Ya There. P.S. I'll add a blue clicky thing to the thread when I get home tonight. |

28 Jan 00 - 11:43 AM (#169760) Subject: RE: HearMe Sing: Songs of the Range Jan 31st From: catspaw49 I have a few tales of the range. Like the one that only had one burner working and the oven door had fallen apart. It wasn't a range you could feel at home with. We now have an Amana range with the glass cooktop and it although I've never cooked any antelope on it, I have done a good bit of deer. We generally have a few "Critter Dinners" during this time of year. Unfortunately the only thing we have this year IS deer, so I'm thinking of doing a selection of deer favorites when the Leadings are here next weekend. A roast in a nice orange sauce (Peking Buck), the ever popular Sloppy Does, and Lambi(chops braised in mint & rosemary). Please, no discouraging words on the menu selections. Spaw |

31 Jan 00 - 06:23 PM (#171303) Subject: RE: HearMe Sing: Songs of the Range Jan 31st From: Mary in Kentucky I have a question about HearMe. First let me say that I tuned in on Robbie Burns night, and I think it's fantastic. My question---How does it work? Does the Mudcat somehow host a "room" for the link? Are there different HearMe downloads for different kinds of hookups? Can I hook up with one friend and talk? Mary |

It was a blast! all the best, katlaughing |
