Lyrics are here (click) in our database. Rise Up Singing has these for the chords:

E - A - / / A D A - / E - A -

CHORUS:
A D A - / E - A - ://

Hope that helps.

Interesting

An old friend used to sing a slightly different version, it had lines like:

Rambling kid why don't you settle down?
L.A. ain't your type of town
There ain't no money,
And there ain't nobody like you.

The song ran through a variety of other places, many of which I had lived....in my naivette I thought it had been written for me.

Years later asking her about it....she could not recall its existance....the paintings I had done for her were likewise gone.

I remember that one, Garg - it's Please Come To Boston, by Kenny Loggins.
Now, if only I could get my short-term memory to improve....
Where'd I put those reading glasses???

Ramblin' Boy is an older and different tune that was in the North Beach coffeehouse circuit in 1963. Please Come To Boston is later -- I think I date it around 1974 or so.
