Emily, could I get some more information? IE- location, time, exactly what's going to happen?

Sounds interesting! And I live in the area.

Daughter Linnet and I will be going, if she ditches her current bug by next weekend (and without giving it to me)
Blessings, see you there, Mary, or maybe tomorrow?

Wish I could, Emily. However, my daughter Shayna and I will be at Portland's Singtime Frolics in March. Will you? Say hi to everybody at RainyCamp for me. And you, too, Mary. Are you the only one from the old Seattle Song Circle who's on the Mudcat?

Aloha,
Mark

it will definitely be fun...and I haven't seen Seattle people here but maybe they are just shy...anyway i live in Vancouver WA now...much nicer if you ask me...maybe we can borrow a laptop there and send status reports.....I'm coming with Merritt and the Holdstocks (all great singers if you don't know of them..)...I imagine we'll be there around six or so...we'll have to have a mudcat meeting of some sort...probably about 2 a.m. or so...

It sounds like an event similar to the Folklore Society of Greater Washington (DC)'s Getaway, albeit in the other Washington. (Or is DC the "other" Washington?). If you can snap a photo of all the gathered Mudcatters, send it to bbc and she can mount it for the rest of us to ogle! I'd love to go--if only it were about 2800 miles closer.

Emily, Mary, what goes on there at camp and is that $70.00 fee something that can be waived say should one live in the area and just want to visit but not spend the night?

that's a question for Mary, i think; this'll be my first experience with rainycamp, so i do not yet know all the subtleties.

well once leadership was snatched from my hands by an overdose of committees, it became very hard for people to just go for part of the weekend without paying the full price...although last I heard they have scholarships for people who are willing to stay and clean up...you can call and ask...I personally don't know why they would care if someone came for a day and paid a day fee...as long as they brought their own food...you don't want complicated kitchen arrangements....but who knows..
