This a Testimonial to the fact that Mudcatters are GREAT! Last week I sent to Mary in Kentucky a packet of stuff on modal music and today in the snail mail I recieved a HANDWRITTEN thank you note complete with beautiful photos of interesting and historic sites in Kentucky. I can't beleive it!!!!It is wonderful!!!! Mary, you are a gem! Almost nobody writes real notes these days. This was truly above and beyond....Thanks, Mary for being a great person, and I'll send you some pics of Wyo soon!! Shine On! Sorcha

I'm so glad you enjoyed the note! I'm still studying all about modes and trying to analyze all the songs I love.

So Sorcha, did everyone have their shoes on in the pix? Was there a shot of the first home in Kentucky with indoor plumbing? They just finished it last year so it may not have made the brochures yet.

Now Spaw, these were pictures we show the foreigners (tourists)...which reminds me...we have some good KY/OH jokes about the river at Cincinnatti etc.

Hi Mary!!! I haven't been down in about 6 months and I drank up all 3 cases of my "Ale 8 One" I brought back last time. BTW...did you send her stuff from Berea?

No Spaw...the uneducated masses don't know about Berea.

LOL.......Funny thing too, 'cause Ol' Mr. Fee opened the joint for us uneducated masses.....Really has gotten to be an artsy/fartsy place though nowadays...but I still love it.

Mary is representative of all us Kentuckians. We go out of our way to treat people kindly. Sure, we's poor, but we's proud. Why, in my family (14 children), we only had one pair of shoes. When it snowed (like the last few days), we took turns wearin' em' out to the outhouse. Ah yes and thank goodness for Sears & Roebuck. A little rough, but my what a clean job it would do.

Hi Mary! I went to a great "hoot" Friday night in Louisville. Takes place every January at the Unitarian church on old Brownsboro Rd. John Gage and other local notables were there and we sung our hearts out. What a great night. We just sat in a big circle of about 60 or 70 people, many with instruments and all with a desire to sing. We made great music! See ya! Jim
