02 Feb 00 - 03:00 PM (#172435) Subject: looking for patty From: Noah Zacharin when i was in high school in montreal (back in the early 70's) there was a girl one year ahead of me named patty geary. i think she was from north carolina. she was a singer/songwriter, sang beautifully, one song i remember the opening line: "my daddy he's a lover of the mountains; you can hear him when the mountain laurel blooms. and up on the thunder ball, when the rhododendron calls...hear him late in june." i have been haunted by that song for 25 years. does anyone know who she is, where she is, if she still sings, etc. long shot i know, but whathehell. |
