06 Feb 00 - 11:55 PM (#174365) Subject: I want to go back, From: GUEST,CBJames Back in the early seventies there was an album put out by Dan Hicks & the Hot Licks called "Last Train from Hicksville" One of the tracks went something like – I want to go back, to where the skies are brighter; I want to go back, doo doo dee oh dough; I want to go back, where people are politer; Doo doo dee a doo dah, dee doo dee ahh dough; I can smell --- ----; The coffee brewin'; Well you can see there's more doo-dah in my recollection than in Camptown Races. And, this probably ain't folk. I was told at the time it was "Tex-Mex". {Whutever that is} Marvellous stuff though. If anyone could supply replacements for the doo-dahs on this song, send more lyrics or just give more background on this band, I would be tickled to know. Many Thanks in advance, James
