Lyr Req: I'll Be There

Not the hit by the Four Tops or the Temptations or whoever --

There's country/bluegrass tune -- I'm not sure if this is the actual title -- with the lyrics

"Ain't no chain tight enough to bind me, look for me, honey, and you'll find me..." in a verse, and a bridge which contains

"Love me, if you're ever gonna love me. I never have seen a river that's too wide..."

Who knows the lyrics or where I might find them? Merci bien.

I'LL BE THERE
Recorded by Ray Price
Words and music by Rusty Gabbard and Ray Price

There ain't no chains strong enough to hold me
There ain't no breeze big enough to slow me
Never have seen a river that's too wide
There ain't no jail tight enough to lock me
There ain't no man big enough to stop me
I'll Be There if you ever want me by your side.

CHORUS
Love me, if you're ever gonna love me
Never have seen a road too rough to ride
There ain't no chains strong enough to hold me
There ain't no breeze big enough to slow me
I'll Be There if you ever want me by your side.

There ain't no rope stout enough to bind me
Look for me, honey, you will find me
Any old time you're ready with your charms
I'll Be There ready and a-waitin'
There won't be any hesitatin'
I'll Be There if you ever want me in your arms.

CHORUS

Merci, Gene. One of those great '50s - '60s country tunes that makes a perfect not-the-same-old-bluegrass tune.
