I love the song Nancy Spain that is credited to Barney Rush but I have never been able to find anything else by him.

Anybody know of other material?

Jon

He also wrote 'The Crack was Ninety in the Isle of Man', which Christy also recorded. There was a recent discussion on it on either rec.music.folk or celtic.music.folk or uk.music.folk. Sorry I can't be more precise! - Susanne

I read all of those too. Will check my Deja News - see if I can find something as I missed the thread - thanks.

Sadly Barney passed away some months back but I was so honored to meet the man last year in Dublin. What a great thrill it was to meat not just a great songwriter but a real nice man. Barney also wrote a song called "Aisling" which was recorde by Cork singer Donie Carroll on his album "Divil of a Noise"
