BS: Shameless Woodchuck Bragging

This is a fun way to wake up on a Friday morning. And I didn't even have to get dressed and go get the paper!

Afterthought: Anyone know of a mailing address for either Si Kahn or Eric Anderson? I'm holding royalty money for both of them pending reaching them. I really don't want to deal with those *(%$*s at Harry Fox Agcy.

(Hope the BCT works.)

Peter.

Wayward HTML on this page has been repaired. The perpetrators of such perversely twisted attempts at blueclickythings may now hang their heads in shame...

Curioser and Curioser. Not only did my Blue clicky thing not get posted, nothing in the body got posted.

Second try: This is supposed to be a blue clicky thing.

Okay. It worked that time.

Parenthetically: Does anyone have snailmail addresses for Si Kahn and/or Eric Anderson? I gotta send them royalty money that I'm holding (not much, but some) and mechanical licenses to sign. I really donwanna deal with Harry Fox Agcy. if I can go around them.

Peter.

Hey, 'Chuck, I'm still fairly new at this whole web bag of tricks. I'm dying to know how you do that "blue clicky thing." Can you explain it in what used to be called Standard English?

Si Kahn has a web page and if you go to links, there's an address for the person who represents him. Not Si, but also not the HFA.

I believe the reason your first clicky didn't work is you put quotation marks in the begining of the HTML, but not at the end. But you probably figured that out.

...haha - so much for me analyzing blue clickes. Got one of my little sideways pointy hats facing the wrong way...let's see if I can mess up another one...

Bud, lookie here for a thread on HTML commands, including construction of blue clickies.

Refresh. I want this thread around until I get the hang of the infamous blue clickies.

Blue Clicky Things (assuming the use of Windoze 98 or 95, and MS Internet Explorer 4):

1) Type the following, exactly, including spaces and non-spaces, except use pointy brackets (> and <) where I have used squiggly brackets (} and {)for the example:

{A HREF=""}(text you want to appear as a blue clicky thing){/A}

2) Insert the URL (the illegible name of the web page - usually starts with "http:...") between the two quotation marks in the thing you just typed. You can either type it in there, if you're sure you can get it write, or copy it from the little window at the top of the web page you're trying to send people to, and paste it in.

3) Now let's see if it works: This should be me and my wife and Mike Agranoff jamming at Old Songs last June.

Peter

Bud, you can keep this or any thread around for as long as you'd like by clicking the "Add Thread To Tracer" clicky which appears just above the "Reply To Thread" box on this page or by clicking the "Trace" clicky on the Main Forum Page next to the thread title you want. A quick link to the thread is then stored on your Personal Page.

Well, I now have a 44-page, laid-back instruction manual on how to perform web wizardry. Many thinks, Jeri, 'Chuck, & all. I will assume until failure informs me to the contrary that these instructions, although a year and a half old, are still the real tabasco.

Thanks for the link. Join in the virtual song circle on HearMe this Sunday? Subject is spring flowers...you could give us a "snippet" of that one song mentioned in the article?
