I have an old paperback published in 1973. It was first published in 1959. London is covered. It takes themes and devotes its chapters to them so you'd have to trawl through and sift out any skipping rhymes and those from the London area. After a quick glance I see that some of the rhymes and chants are late 19th century. It was published by Oxford Paperbacks (part of Oxford University Press) and the ISBN is (or was) 0 19 881121 7. It lists in alphabetical order about 600 (!) games, some of which would definitely be played by London children. Cheers- Murray |
