I think Kathy Mattea recorded it. I'll check tonight to see if I have it. Of course, the way this place works, somebody else will supply the whole song before I get back on. |

Chorus:
When I was a lad my daddy told me
There's just one thing I keep forgetting
Repeat 1
There must have been a thread with some discussion about this song around June 1999. Can't find it now, though. - Susanne |

All I can add is that Kathy Mattea recorded it on her "Willow in the Wind" CD (Mercury 836 950-2). She adjusted the lyrics for a woman's perspective and has a lovely alto voice. jeffp |
